So today, I have a pretty mixed bag for you. I've been enjoying a random selection of gems from the depths of my hard drive, and here for your listening pleasure are some of the best ones.
This is the first track off the Crimson album by Alkaline Trio, and I love the strings intro, and then the way that it crashes into the guitars. Great stuff!
This is a nice bit of old skool rave, it has a great hands in the air feel, and you can just imagine it being played at a massive underground party.
This is a great summery DnB track, really nice and mellow, quite gentle, but with a lovely driving energy. This evokes images of drinking cider in a big field with friends, watching the sun go down on a warm summers evening, and is just what we need to encourage spring to kick in properly!
This track is from the "How the Days Collide" album by Ben Sage, and the whole album is definitely worth a listen. However continuing in the same vein as the previous track, this is gorgeous gentle melodic summery DnB at its best! Love it!
This penultimate track of the day is one of my favourite tracks of the past few months. It doesn't matter how much I listen to this, I still enjoy it as much as the first time I heard it! This is a great uplifting track that is guaranteed to have you smiling for the weekend.
And finally, we're going to finish on a classic. This tune takes me back to university days and reminds me of some very good friends, and to me it is a timeless classic that can be appreciated as much now, as it could a few years ago. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend y'all!! :)
