Turn up the volume!

After a day of listening to lovely electronic bands at work, I felt the need to up the tempo a little when I got home from work. Plus, if you're anything like me, then when you're feeling tired worn out there is nothing quite like fast music for perking you up a bit - and with it being Friday tomorrow, and a good friends birthday celebrations to boot, I feel like I should make the effort to get in the mood for the weekend!

So what first then, to start off the weekend in style?

Well, actually it's not really that fast, but it is absolutely delicious Drum n Bass at it's best, and was the first track this evening that really had me giving it my full attention! This is a remix of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" by SpectraSoul, and it is a quite simple gorgeous track, really soulful and very chilled out. Love it!

I tried for a little while to find a new mix I could put on, but I fancied something new, and nothing I put on seemed satisfying enough after the first few minutes, so I gave up and went on a bit of a Soundcloud listening spree. These are a bit more uptempo, while still being really nice tunes to listen to.

Brookes Brothers - Last Night
Brookes Brothers - Drifter (feat Furlonge)

Both are awesome tracks, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the Brookes Brothers again next week at Metropolis, as they destroyed the dancefloor when I saw them in October. (They followed a rather lacklustre performance from the Scratch Perverts, and totally made up for the disappointment of that, and then some!) Plus if my memory serves me correctly, I'm sure their album is out any day now - that will definitely be one to look out for! Until the album is out though, there are plenty of good tracks of theirs to be found on Soundcloud and YouTube for now...

The last on my play list for this evening is an album that has only been released for a couple of weeks, and is already one of my current favourites. It's Hospitality Drum & Bass 2011 and it's great! Some of the tracks on the album are really uplifting, and it has quite a few of my favourite tunes of the moment on it. Here are a couple of them for you to enjoy. :)
