Totally Addicted to Bass!

After a weekend of pumping hard house, interspersed with a bit of house / breaks / dnb to spice it up a little, last night I took advantage of having an empty house to crank up the volume. I'm feeling the tiredness today, as I got rather carried away on SoundCloud finding new music - however, do I have some treats in store for you today! I have an absolutely wicked old skool mix for you, some pounding drum and bass, and a banging hard house set to finish off with.

So without further ado - to the music!

Firstly, this is a fantastic little number that was uploaded on to Soundcloud a few days ago by DJ Zinc. Unfortunately there isn't a tracklist for it, however it has some great retro old skool tunes in it. It opens with an awesome little version of Tainted Love, and also includes a number of other classics and instantly recognisable vocals. Perfect for those chill out moments.

Now on to the Drum and Bass, which is going to make up the biggest part of todays blog update. I have found so much new immense Drum and Bass that it is hard to know where to start!

First of all, I discovered the Spearhead Records page on Soundcloud, which has a number of really great tunes on it, and also a brand new studio mix uploaded this month by BCee.

This first track is a fairly recent one by Jonny L - who is a legendary producer, who was responsible for one of my all time favourites "Back to your Roots" that I included on a previous blog update. This tune is called Boy, and when that bass kicks in at 1 minute 30, I challenge you to stay sat in your seat!! This is raw as fuck, and just goes to show that Jonny L still has the magic touch after all these years!

The next little beauty from this page is a remix by Friction and K-tee of a tune that I have really enjoyed for quite a while - the original was by BCee and S.P.Y, and this is called Is there anybody out there? The vocal is really good, the original was great, and this remix is fantastic!

The last little gem I'm going to share from this page is the BCee March Studio mix - this is a great little mix, with some awesome tunes on there, and I hope you enjoy it. It is an hour of pumping Drum and Bass that should make you want to dance and put a smile on your face!
