Well, this is the first post in my new blog and seeing as most of the time I have an awful lot to say for myself, I do feel like I should be writing paragraphs of profound musings or witty criticisms about the state of music in the 21st Century. However sometimes less is more, and so rather than waffling on endlessly like I would normally do, I am going to cut to the chase and get to the music. That is the reason we are here after all!!
This is what I have mostly been listening to this week:
The link below is to one of my favourite tracks off this, their second album. "My House" has a lovely disco-ey retro kind of feel to it, with really soulful vocals, while still sounding fresh and new - its gorgeous! :)

The whole album is great, but the track below is called "Bathroom Gurgle", and this makes me want to jump up and down at 2mins 20 when it switches, pretty much every time I hear it! It is firmly stuck in my head, and I find myself wanting to sing the lyrics and move my body to the bassline whenever there is no one else around. Give it a listen.
