Back once again...

I've had a couple of days of enforced silence due to being ill, so today I am easing myself back into work and music with some nice gentle (or perhaps not so gentle!) drum and bass. So without further ado, here are some corkers for your listening pleasure.

This is a nice track with a really dirty bassline - it always makes me want to get my bassface on, and is equally at home in a dubstep or dnb mix. Love it! The whole track is worth a proper listen as well, as I know that those who are familiar with Danny Byrd's essential mix will just be familiar with a particular section of it! ;)

I love this tune - its really nice and chilled out, and the vocal is great; I find it quite mellow and uplifting.

Great bassline, great energy, really uplifting - this definitely makes me feel better any day of the week!

This is a dark, dirty and grimy track that can't fail to get my booty shaking - the track progresses really well, with a great build up and drop - love it!

If you want something a bit more substantial to listen to, head over to Fact Magazine to check out a guest mix from Photek; this is being billed as an "influences" mix, and covers stuff going back over the past two decades. Click here for the interview with Photek, and a link to download the mix.

That's all for today, just a brief post to get me back into it, I'll be back tomorrow with some more bangers for you! :)
