What a gorgeous day - the sun is shining, and it actually has some warmth to it today which is just great! Music always seems to sound even better when the sun is shining, so I am a very happy bunny right now.
Today has seen yet another eclectic mix of music. First of all, I have a classic from the 1990's for you, that was used in the Save the Last Dance soundtrack. (Which is actually a pretty good soundtrack, even though it comes from quite a cheesy film!) This is Chaka Demus & the Pliers - Murder she Wrote, and it always puts a smile on my face and makes me want to wind and grind haha!
The next few tracks all come from the Brokedown Palace soundtrack - this is one of my all time favourite soundtracks, and has been played many many times over the years. (I think I bought the album 3 times overall, due to losing it when moving house, and my original becoming very scratched over the years!). These are some of my favourite tracks, however I strongly recommend you give the entire album a listen. Click here to listen or Click here to buy
This is a beautiful haunting song - I think it was remixed into some horrendous cheesy euro-dance version following the success of the dance remixes of Delerium - Silence (which is also on this soundtrack), however I managed to avoid hearing the remix too much so the original wasn't spoilt for me.
This is another great song, I love the Asian Dub Foundation, and this track has stood the test of time very well - I still enjoy it as much now, if not more, than when I first used to listen to it.
PJ Harvey has an incredibly striking voice, and her live performances are amazing too - she blew me away at Leeds Festival a few years ago, and I would love to see her again. This track is a great one, and I hope you enjoy it.
This is the last track for the moment, and again it is one of my all time favourites. Massive Attack create stunning music, and this is probably my favourite track of theirs. Love it!
